GERNERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:Be responsible for all aspects of coaching and directing the Ranger College Womens Basketball program. Recruit an assigned number of female student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning budgeting scheduling and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred
• 
  Perform duties of a head coach of a collegiate athletic program
• 
  Help in recruitment of student athletes
• 
  Must have developmental plan for academic success for student athletes in the program
• 
  Understand student athletes welfare
• 
  Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 
  Excellent oral/written communication skills
• 
  Strong organizational skills required
• 
  Able to work in a fast-paced busy student-oriented setting
• 
  Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
• 
  Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits
  

ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
