Women's Golf Head Coach

Viterbo University invites applications for the position of part-time Womens Golf Head Coach. This position is a part-time 10-month position. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the womens golf program while supporting the academic athletic and personal development of student-athletes.

The Head Coach provides leadership for all aspects of the womens golf program including recruiting student-athletes conducting practices preparing for competition managing program operations and supporting academic success. The coach serves as an ambassador for Viterbo University by building relationships with prospective students alumni supporters and community partners.

The successful candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes on and off the course while embracing the NAIA Champions of Character values of respect responsibility integrity servant leadership and sportsmanship. The Head Coach is responsible for promoting program success while ensuring compliance with University conference and NAIA regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee all aspects of intercollegiate athletics team.
• Recruit student-athletes to Viterbo University.
• Plan practices prepare team for competition coordinate off-season training program.
• Schedule competition coordinate travel and manage budget.
• Monitor and foster academic progress of student-athletes.
• Coordinate team involvement with community outreach or service projects.
• Generate booster club support and assist with departmental fundraisers.
• Hire train supervise and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Support and adhere to all institutional policies outlined in the employee handbook.
• Teach and embrace the five core values of the NAIAs Champions of Character initiative.
• Ensure that all program operations are compliant with Viterbo University and NAIA rules.
• Attend all required departmental university and conference meetings.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as delegated or assigned by the Associate Athletics Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
• Background in education coaching athletics administration or a related field preferred.
• Previous successful coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Viterbos mission and values.
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel for recruiting and team competitions.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and travel as required.

• Ability to recruit motivate and retain student-athletes who are a good fit for the Universitys mission and athletic program.
• Strong organizational planning and time-management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes families alumni supporters and campus partners.
• Working knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technology platforms used to support recruiting communication and program administration.
