Position Description: Wiring Assembler
Wiring Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems LLC. will be responsible for binding wires to form wire harnesses for our electrical systems and equipment. This position requires reading electrical wiring schemes and binding wires together using sleeves cable lacing cable ties and electrical conduits. This role involves inspecting and measuring all parts and conducting quality control tests.
Primary Duties:
- Assemble kits of small parts into electronic assemblies using instructions and hand tools.
- Final assembly of wire harnesses from machine-made sub-assemblies following standard procedures.
- Sorting labeling and packaging electronic assemblies and harnesses.
- Taking responsibility for ownership of the quality of his or her work output.
- Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.
- Care lubrication and cleaning of hand tools.
- Providing supervisors with feedback to help improve quality and efficiency.
Experience & Skills:
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Work experience with electronics or wiring.
- Ability to read and follow simple assembly diagrams and procedures.
- Ability to use simple electronic test tools e.g. continuity testers cable testers etc.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools e.g. calipers micrometers etc.
- Good eyesight and ability to work with small parts and tools.
- Attention to detail and desire to do very high-quality work.
Preferred:
- Work experience assembling electronic modules.
- Work experience assembling electronic wire harnesses.
- Basic understanding of electricity.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use fingers to grasp move and assemble very small objects
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Visual acuity to read instructions assemble and inspect parts produced.
Education:
- High school diploma GED or equivalent credentials.
Primary Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and welding symbols.
- Measure mark cut and shape metal materials (steel aluminum stainless etc.).
- Fit and align parts using clamps fixtures and hand tools.
- Ensure proper joint fit-up (gap angle and alignment) before welding.
- Rivet fit components in place prior to final welding.
- Inspect materials and assemblies for accuracy and quality.
- Work closely with welders to ensure specifications are met.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Use tools such as grinders torches saws and measuring instruments.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing construction or industrial environments.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding processes (MIG TIG Stick Flux-Core).
- Experience with structural steel pipe or plate fabrication.
- Proficient with measuring tools (tape measure squares calipers).
- Good math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift materials and work in industrial environments.
Education:
- High school diploma GED or equivalent credentials.
- Trade school or apprenticeship experience.
- AWS or other welding-related certifications.
