Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engagementteammembers and clients to obtain information andmaintainwell-supported documentation.

• Complete assignedwork accurately and on time communicating progress questions and potential issues promptly.

• Apply coaching and feedback to strengthen technical knowledge and work quality.

• Demonstrate professionalism integrityinitiativecuriosity anda commitmentto quality and client service.

• Maintain the confidentiality ofclientand firm information andexercisesound judgmentin accordance withfirm policies andprofessional standards.

• Participate in training team activities special projectsandperformother duties as assigned.

Assurance:

• Support audit and other assurance engagementswhile developing an understanding of clients businesses industries financial reporting processes and assurance needs.

• Assistwithaudit procedures includingtesting account balances transactions and other financial information.

• Prepare clearworkpapersdocumentingproceduresevidence results and conclusionsin accordance withfirm methodologies and professional standards.

• Use firm-approved audit data analysis workflow and collaboration technologies to complete assigned work.

Tax:

• Support tax engagementswhile developing an understanding of clients businesses industries transactions and tax needs.

• Assistwith preparingfederal state and local tax returns workpapers calculations supporting schedules andrelateddeliverables.

• Conducttax research and document findings tosupportengagementteamquestions and client needs.

• Use firm-approved tax preparation research workflowdocument management dataand collaboration technologies to completeassignedwork.

Education

• Currently enrolled or pursuing abachelors degree program inAccountingor a related business discipline from an accredited institution.

• Must haveat least one academic termremainingfollowing completion of the internship.

Experience

Certifications / Licensure

Required:

• On track to meet the educational requirements for CPA exam eligibility prior to the start ofafull-time Associate position.

• Candidates mustbe authorized towork in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• A resume and unofficial transcript(s) areas part of the application process.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Foundationalaccounting knowledgedeveloped through academic coursework.

• Ability to conduct basic research analyze information and document findings clearly and accurately.

• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and Outlook.

Additional Information

The pay rate ranges for this job position are listedbelow. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicants skills prior experience qualifications degrees professional certifications workarrangementsand geographic location. Baker Tilly offersacomprehensive compensation and benefits packageto eligible employees.

In California: pay rate range is $27.50 to $109.25

In New York: pay rate range is $31.25 to $105.00

The national pay rate range is $25.00 to $84.00
