Job Summary
Peraton is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to support our Federal Strategic Cyber Mission program.
Location: Beltsville MD
- Ability to support core business hours ( / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
As a Windows Systems Administrator you will provide enterprise-level support for Windows Server environments across OpenNet ClassNet and multiple secured this role youll ensure reliable compliant and secure operations through proactive maintenance effective troubleshooting and continuous systems improvement.
Youll manage routine updates patching cycles and configuration changes while maintaining system availability and performance. Your expertise in Active Directory will be centralsupporting authentication services resolving account and directory issues and ensuring proper configuration of critical AD attributes used for integrations with platforms such as Okta and iPost.
You will play a key role in vulnerability remediation by applying STIG-compliant configurations monitoring iPost scoring and collaborating with Cybersecurity Scanning and Systems Administration teams to address findings. Using tools like SolarWinds and Splunk youll analyze system performance and logs to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Automation and optimization are essential in this position. Youll develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to reduce manual work support backup validation and recovery efforts aligned with COOP requirements and assist in maintaining virtualized environments such as Nutanix.
This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system dependencies resolve connectivity issues and maintain clear documentation for configurations and procedures. Youll also continue to build your technical expertise in Windows systems Active Directory and enterprise management tools to support ongoing mission needs.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; a Masters degree with 7 years of experience; or a PhD with 4 years. An additional 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree.
- Must hold (or obtain prior to start) at least one approved certification maintained as a condition of employment: CASP CE CCNA Cyber Ops CCNASecurity CCNP Security CEH CFR CISA CISSP (or Associate) Cloud CySA GCED GCIA GCIH GICSP SCYBER VCADCV PPDA Agile IC or SNOW App Dev.
- Handson experience with enterprise Windows Server environments Active Directory administration virtualization platforms such as Nutanix and monitoring tools including Splunk and SolarWinds.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
