Windows Cybersecurity Systems Administrator

COLSA is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support the U.S. Army Materiel Command in Huntsville Alabama. This position will provide hands-on systems administration and technical support for Windows-based server environments supporting mission-critical Army operations. This role may require approximately 10 to 15 percent CONUS travel to support operational sites and system deployments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer monitor and maintain enterprise physical and virtual Microsoft Windows Server environments across domain-joined workgroup and isolated (air-gapped) network environments
• Install test and validate Windows Server security patches updates and system configuration changes
• Apply required security updates and configurations to systems supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Implement and maintain compliance with applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
• Review vulnerability scan results perform remediation activities and support vulnerability management efforts
• Utilize vulnerability assessment and compliance tools such as ACAS SCAP STIG Viewer and similar tools
• Monitor system backup operations and support backup validation restoration and recovery activities
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure required patches security updates and configuration changes are implemented
• Support Windows-based application workstations and related infrastructure as required
• Coordinate with external Test Lab personnel to validate system configurations prior to production deployment
• Perform on-site server maintenance patching troubleshooting configuration changes and security remediation activities
• Maintain system documentation configuration records vulnerability status reports and compliance documentation
• Troubleshoot Windows operating system server application virtualization and connectivity issues
• Support virtualized environments utilizing VMware Microsoft Hyper-V or similar technologies
