The Welder is responsible for performing high-volume repetitive welding operations on galvanized light gauge materials (2022 GA). This role focuses primarily on precision corner welds and circle welds ensuring consistent quality and adherence to production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented quality-focused and capable of maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm
- Perform MIG welding on 2022 gauge galvanized materials in a production setting
- Execute repetitive corner welds and circle welds with precision and consistency
- Ensure proper handling and welding techniques for galvanized steel (including awareness of coatings and ventilation requirements)
- Maintain quality standards by ensuring clean structurally sound welds
- Inspect completed welds for defects and correct as needed
- Follow blueprints work instructions and welding specifications
- Meet daily production and efficiency targets
- Perform basic equipment setup and adjustments as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety guidelines including proper PPE and ventilation when welding galvanized material
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 12 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience welding thin gauge galvanized material (2022 GA) strongly preferred
- Ability to perform repetitive welding tasks for extended periods
- Basic understanding of weld symbols and simple blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to use measuring tools and gauges

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat noise and welding fumes
- Production/manufacturing facility
- High-volume repetitive workflow
- Exposure to galvanized welding fumes requiring proper ventilation and PPE
- Use of PPE including welding helmet gloves respirators (as required) and protective clothing
