Job Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform welding tasks using various methods such as MIG TIG or Stick welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to complete work accurately.
  • Cut shape and assemble stainless steel metal parts according to instructions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment and maintain tools in safe working condition.
  • Select appropriate welding materials and consumables for each job.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools for preparation and finishing tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of welding materials and report shortages.
  • Follow all company safety policies procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Participate in safety training and maintain compliance with welding certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed including materials used and job progress.
  • Report completed work and any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
  • Work closely with other welders fabricators and production team members.
  • Assist higher-level welders or technicians as needed for complex tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes (MIG TIG Stick).
  • Ability to read blueprints technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years of welding experience

Desired

  • Completion of a welding training program or vocational certification preferred.

Use of vision correction is acceptable if necessary; however any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity.
