Structural Welder / Fitter

Location: Fulton MS
Pay Rate: $18.50 $27.75 per hour (Based on Experience)
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Welder / Fitter to join our growing team in Fulton MS. This role is responsible for fitting fabricating and welding structural steel and metal components according to detailed project specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills experience with multiple welding processes and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Flux Core (FCAW) Solid Core MIG TIG and Stick welding on structural steel and various metal materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and fabrication specifications to ensure precise assembly and weld quality.
  • Fit align and assemble structural components according to project requirements.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including plasma cutters grinders press brakes and other shop machinery.
  • Measure inspect and verify material dimensions using tape measures calipers micrometers and other precision tools.
  • Assist with material handling and movement of components using forklifts cranes hoists and rigging equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication and welding process to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Structural Welder Fitter Fabricator or related role in a manufacturing industrial or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in Flux Core Solid Core MIG TIG and Stick welding processes.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication techniques and metalworking practices.
  • Experience working with structural steel heavy fabrication pipe fitting or ductwork is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes welding procedures and industry standards is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical and measuring skills with attention to detail.
