Welder

Interpret moderately complex drawings route sheets specifications and instructions to determine methods and techniques to be applied

Set up and operate metal arc shielded arc or oxyacetylene equipment for welding brazing and flame cutting operations; set current amperage gas pressures and controls; select rod wire tips electrodes for specific job at hand; fit position and secure with holding devices

Perform moderately complex saw operations and painting as required

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers

Measure examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers

Detect defective material unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions

Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements

Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost quality or production issues; understand and apply engineering change request process

Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

Maintain equipment and work area in a clean orderly and safe condition.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to competently perform all level 1 duties.

Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex blueprints specifications and machined part prints

Strong grinding knowledge.

Proficient in in MIG TIG and flex core welding

Experience with machined part fabrication.

Ability to be versatile and flexible in running open machines.

Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment

Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.
