Job Summary

Scope of WorkPerforms welding for installations alterations relocations and assembly of structured steel fabricated steel assembly as well as modifications as required for welding all mechanical tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings installation of equipment supports piping assembly and alignment of equipment. Must keep all materials tools and equipment in an orderly fashion maintain a clean work area at all times demonstrate safe work habits and exhibit proper care of tools and RequirementsUses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to carry out all job to assigned job site location on time as and complies with Company/job safety requirements (OSHA).Understands and follows federal state and local and properly stores tools materials and pride in ability to visualize completed work prior to installation/ ability to plan schedule and organize tasks in an efficient manner in order to meet proper use and safe handling of tools equipment and or assists in all types of welding installations (i.e. preparations relocation disassembly/ assembly alignment maintenance piping etc.).Has ability and skill to fabricate field modifications (i.e. welding brackets supports piping tubing fastening guards safety railings etc.).Has ability and skill to install and perform required equipment/welding materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work ability to accurately interpret mechanical equipment/piping ability and skill to properly level plumb align equipment and installation knowledge of equipment experience in fluid/gas to add subtract divide multiply and use mechanical formulas work at various heights up to 90 feet from ladders scaffolds aerial lifts catwalks roofs or other designated safe work in restrictive/tight areas (i.e. mechanical rooms crawl spaces utility tunnels etc.).Ability to dig trenches; either by use of hand tools or and understands labels job site maps/directions instruction manuals and written instructions knowledge of and ability to properly give hand signals to knowledge of piping layout fitting and ability and skill to direct/train helpers and apprentices in proper work practices in order to meet production personal hand tools per Company technical knowledge safety knowledge and ability to work with live/energized parts. Working ConditionsMay require working in all weather elements (heat cold rain snow) depending on job location and/or time of be able to utilize construction site sanitary have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.).Must be able to work from all ladder types (i.e. step ladders up to 14 A frame ladders and all size extension ladders). Must be able to independently carry and relocate 12 stepladder. (Note: The combination of the employees personal weight plus the weight of the employees personal tools cannot exceed weight limits of ladder; class 1 - 250 lbs. class 1A - 300 lbs.)Must wear personnel protective equipment as required (i.e. hard hat safety glasses safety harness and respirator as required).Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime as required on short work well with others as a member of a team to complete to work in noisy to remain calm in times of heightened emotional RequirementsAbility to bend stoop squat crawl climb kneel balance push pull and reach to independently lift work loads of 51 use of arms hands and to climb ladders of all good vision/hearing (normal or corrected).Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure even if only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for to work while constantly to reach and stretch to position equipment materials etc. while maintaining to use both hands simultaneously for tying knots and for proper use of power equipment. License Requirements: Welding Certification as required for the duties of this : High school graduate holder of G.E.D. or equivalent studies/: Mechanical/equipment knowledge five years welding experience.
