Job Summary
At Litania Sports Group our brandsGill and Porterhave helped define excellence in track & field basketball and volleyball for more than 100 years. From local gyms to world-class championships our equipmentand the people who build itare trusted at every level of competition.
The Welder will:
- Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on steel and aluminum
- Review work orders and blueprints to determine required work
- Set up equipment including jig selection gas pressure wire speed and amperage
- Perform welds according to specifications
- Inspect finished work for defects and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Move products to the next stage in production
Schedule: 3rd shift (SundayThursday) 10:00 pm to 6:30 am with overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Proven proficiency in TIG and/or MIG welding on steel and/or aluminum
- Ability to perform continuous welds up to 24 inches preferred
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to read and work from blueprints including understanding tolerances
- Ability to take direction in written and oral English
- Ability to pass a drug screen and work in a drug-free environment
Primary responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures to protect self and others
- Accept work orders review prints and determine work that needs to be performed
- Set up welds to include choosing correct jig and setting gas pressure wire speed and amperage
- Perform welds per prints
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Occasionally weld around pipe up to 8 inches
- Perform water-tight welds
- Clean up weld splatter from product and in work area
- Wheel products to next step in process
Job Type: Full-time
Salary
- $20$25/hour $2 shift differential
- Bonus eligible (up to 20% paid bi-weekly and quarterly)
- Hourly position
