Weekend Production Supervisor

The production supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers ensuring that production targets are met maintaining quality standards and driving P&L results. This position supervises production operations within an assigned areas or during assigned shifts.

1st shift: 11:00AM - 9:30PM Saturday - Tuesday

Pay Rate: $21.97 per hour with 20% differential plus bonus

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises workers that operate production machinery assemble items perform quality control or package goods for shipment.
• Schedule and assign tasks to workers troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
• Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
• Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
• Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
• Engages in employee relations initiatives promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis alongside labor planning and scheduling.
• Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
• Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
• Provide training motivation and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures development opportunities and departmental processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations company policies and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
• All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports

Required Skills and Experience

• 1 years of leadership experience materials/distribution environment is preferred.
• Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
• Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution manufacturing technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Supervising temporary staff.
• Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
• General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Educational Requirements

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
