Set on 52 acres of woods trails fields and aquatic areas of the Cleveland Metroparks the Achievement Centers for Childrens Camp Cheerful offers campers all the traditional camp activities including hiking arts and crafts nature activities games campfire activities music sports and so much more!!!!

We are currently recruiting Weekend Camp Counselors interested in working our Weekend Respite Overnight Camp! Weekend overnight camps are scheduled twice a month (dates listed below). Counselors provide high-quality primary care and support for the campers who are 16 years of age and older with disabilities. As a counselor you will make memories with your campers by assisting them in participating in activities. Personal care is required such as toileting and changing. Working hours are Friday from 5:30 pm until Sunday at 12:00pm.

The Details:

• Compensation is $350 per weekend
• Hours: Friday at 5:30pm to Sunday at 12:00pm (overnight stay required)
• Personal care is required such as toileting and changing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous camp experience or experience with children with disabilities is a plus but not a requirement!
• CPR First Aid and AED certification provided
• Crisis prevention and intervention certification provided
• We serve a wide range of disabilities including cognitive physical developmental and neurological.
• We typically provide a 1 counselor to 3 camper ratio
• You do not need to commit to every weekend we offer
• May be used as an internship opportunity if your school/college allows
