Web and Digital Content Strategist

St. Ambrose University invites applications for a Web and Digital Content Strategist to join our Communications and Marketing team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality audience-focused digital content across university websites internal platforms and related digital channels within a shared services model supporting both St. Ambrose University and Mount Mercy University.

The successful candidate will help advance institutional goals related to enrollment brand academics advancement and internal communications through the creation of accurate accessible SEO-informed and strategically aligned digital content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create edit and maintain website and portal content
• Optimize content using SEO best practices and analytics
• Develop digital content (web pages landing pages campaigns internal communications)
• Use approved AI tools to improve content quality and workflow efficiency
• Ensure content meets accessibility standards and university guidelines
• Monitor performance and recommend improvements based on data
• Partner across departments to support marketing and communication goals

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in marketing communications journalism or related field
• 2 years of experience in web content digital communications or SEO
• Strong writing editing and project management skills
• Experience with CMS platforms and analytics tools preferred
• Higher education experience a plus
