BSN Program Curriculum Consultant
Position Type:This is an independent contractor appointment.
Project Scope
The Consultant will support the Dominican UniversityWaukeganCampus through theprogram curriculum and operational development process to ensure a successful accreditation and regulatory approval application for the Waukegan BSN program. Responsibilities include:
Curriculum Content Development
- Develop a place-based community-centered BSN curriculum for Dominican Universitys Waukegan Campus that meets all accreditation (CCNE) and state (IBHE and IDFPR) regulatory requirements.
- Map all BSN coursework to ensure learning outcomes meet all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Develop curriculum plans for didactic clinical and simulation laboratory experiences.
- Develop all program assessment and continuous improvement plan to meet accreditation standards.
Clinical Partnership Agreement Development
- Recruit and establish clinical placement agreements with Lake County hospitals clinics and community agencies to fulfill all curricular and programmatic requirements of an accredited BSN program ensuring adequate clinicalexperiencesacross content specialties.
Program Faculty and StaffingDevelopment Plans
- Develop faculty and staff position descriptions faculty orientation and professional development plans.
Waukegan Campus Facilities and ResourcesPlanning
- Identify and inventory all supplies equipment and facility needs for the Waukegan Campus BSN program. Identify all library and research resources needed to support BSN curriculum.
Deliverables and Proposed Timeline
Due by November 1 2026
- Prepare Waukegan Campus BSN program schedule concept map
- Prepare curriculum plan of study for the Waukegan Campus BSN
- Identify viable Lake County clinical practice sites to fulfill clinical curriculum needs for the projected BSN enrollment (i.e. 30 students per cohort).
- Collaborate with DU staff to ensure completion of all sections of the Illinois Board of Higher Education new program region application
Due by April 1 2027
- Prepare all Nursing required course syllabi including all accreditation standards aligned learning outcomes
- Collaborate with DU staff to prepare CCNE and IDFPR program applications for the Waukegan Campus BSN program approval
- Prepare equipment resource and supplies inventories to implement BSN coursework
- Prepare faculty position descriptions and plans for faculty orientation training and development
Compensation
Consulting serviceswill becompensated at a rate of $ 5000 per semester with an estimatedtime frameof10 will be paid in monthly installments.
Required Experience:
