Job Summary


Hazen and Sawyer is seekinga Water Treatment Project Engineer for ourArizona offices located in Tempe Tucson and Goodyear. This role will support project engineering and management and the development of water and potable reuse projects throughout Arizona the Southwest and across the country. You will be a part of the Hazen Water and Reuse practice groups engaging collaborating and supporting water and reuse projects and opportunities across the country as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Your role will include project engineering/management design planning operational support with a focus on water treatment / reuse and drinking water projects
  • Supporting proposal development.
  • Mentor junior drinking water staff.
  • Coordination and collaboration with clients.
  • Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
  • Supporting projects to meet client expectations budgets and quality requirements.
  • Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
  • Technical responsibility for interpreting organizing executing and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects.
  • Performing planning studies design and support of projects through design construction and operation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in civil/environmental engineering
  • PE license
  • 5-12 years of experience in municipal water treatment water quality water treatment technology or manufacturing
  • Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and capable of interacting effectively with staff clients and regulatory agencies
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering
