Job Summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Engineer for our Manchester NH office. As part of our wastewater team this position will be involved with a wide variety of wastewater infrastructure projects focusing on treatment process design and construction.

Work Setting:

  • Hybrid (remote and office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of technical treatment strategies selection of treatment processes developing process design criteria and delivering projects
  • Assist with client coordination and collaboration
  • Work on interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the clients needs
  • Coordinate with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery
  • Support preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Participate in fieldwork and perform site visits from planning through construction that may be required with occasional travel if needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in environmental civil or mechanical engineering
  • PE license
  • 5-10 years of experience in the field of wastewater-related infrastructure including project engineering/management (planning design and construction)
  • Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
  • Experience in successfully delivering support to projects spanning multiple years on collaborative multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and capable of interacting effectively with staff clients and regulatory agencies
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering
