Wastewater

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
• Operates to the best possible standards providing uninterrupted operation.
• Monitors wastewater pretreatment systems ancillary equipment and the chemical composition of the influent effluent and internal process streams; makes necessary adjustments to ensure operation is within established guidelines.
• Responds to unscheduled equipment or process failures.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturers specifications on all systems including belt press blowers pumps valves and piping.
• Collects and analyzes raw waste performs chemical and physical analysis. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the composition of the influent effluent and internal process streams. Preforms sampling requirements for storm water.
• Maintains cleanliness of wastewater plant.
• Ensures efficient and economical operation of wastewater treatment equipment.
• Completes maintenance records; maintains operating logbooks and databases as required.
• Maintains control of plant tools manuals repair parts assemblies and consumables.
• Advises the HR Manager of the status of wastewater pretreatment equipment and systems.
• Works a 2nd shift or rotating shift when required.
• Performs duties in support of other Environmental programs.
• Complies with all Health & Safety requirements and goals.
• Performs other duties as required.
