Summary of Position
As a Warranty Administrator you wouldbe responsible forcommunicating with manufacturers and vendors to ensurethe handlingof all warranty requestsis in compliance withboth Knudtsen standards and legal requirements. You would be an integral part of the service team ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of these items so that the service department receives proper credit and monies due. Continuing product process and service specific training would be provided.
Responsibilities
Processes warranty claims ona timelybasis for each franchise or distributor.
Processes allwarrantypaperwork to ensure proper documentation.
Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor.
Reconcilesall warranty receivables with payments through theappropriate accountingschedule.
Postscredits oncomputer.
Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.
Followup on payment of outstanding claims.
Files andmaintainsall service records as required by the warrantor.
Keeps informed of allfactoryrecalls and bulletins.
Assistswith body shop warranty claims as needed.
Balances bookingcodingand flagging warranty for all repair orders.
Monitors all warranty repair orders and claims toassurethat proper policies and procedures are followed.
Overseesaccuracy and completion of We Owes.
Assistswith payroll adjustmentsregardingtechnicians.
Assistswith various tasks and needs of the accounting department in relation to service accounts and staff.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and excellent time management skills.
Basic computer skills working ability of Word Excel etc. and ability to learn database management software.
Proficient oral and written communication skills and the ability to read and interpret documents.
Have a valid drivers license.
Pass a motor vehicle report andpossessa safe driving record.
Pass a criminal background check credit check and drug test(pre-employmentscreening does not include testing formarijuanahowever post-accident and random testing to include marijuana testing). Also subject to random drug testing at the companys request.
