Warehouseperson Job Description

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Computer literacy required**
• Minimum of 3 years prior warehouse experience**
• Basic inventory management skills
• Ability to perform simple mathematics (addition subtraction multiplication division)
• Previous forklift experience**
• Able to accurately pick and pack orders
• Forklift certifications for all required equipment***
• Experience with forklift-mounted computers and barcode scanners (training available on the job)
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds

Responsibilities:

As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for the safe accurate and efficient handling of materials for both inbound and outbound shipments. Labor intense job in a non-climate control environment.

Key Duties:

• Safely pick pack load and ship orders as required
• Review and follow special instructions for all pack sets
• Utilize the Branch Locator system for accurate transactions
• Receive and inspect incoming material from Victaulic subsidiaries customers and vendors
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and good inventory management practices
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep the warehouse and property clean and organized
• Assist will call customers as needed
• Adhere to all company policies procedures and the code of ethics
• Comply with all safety guidelines and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) practices
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Distribution Manager or Distribution Center Coordinator
