Strategic Business Services is a department within the Administration & Finance Division responsible for Procure-to-Pay; including Procurement Distribution Services and Payment Services. Distribution Services is responsible for mail parcel and freight distribution for the campus including mail and parcel distribution for on-campus student residents.
Key Qualifications
General knowledge of warehouse and mail handling practices including safety item identification warehouse procedures and postal regulations identifying and notating damages and short counts keeping and maintenance of receiving/delivery records including the use of handheld scanners and desktop workstations to obtain and store records.
Ability to teach and apply safe methods of moving heavy materials and equipment including the operation of powered material handling equipment
Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
Ability to organize plan and provide lead work direction work to student employees.
Education and Experience
One year of experience assisting in the receipt storage or issuance of materials from a centralized stockroom or warehouse including some experience in the operation of fork lift trucks or similar power-operated materials handling equipment.

Possession of a valid drivers license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
