Southern Glazers offers a competitive compensation package of $23.65 per determining a final offer the company will evaluate a specific candidates education skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Overview:
The 2nd Shift Warehouse employee is responsible for ensuring the correct product is picked and loaded on delivery trucks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform warehouse duties including load picking and building inventory handling and accurate completion of Warehouse Management System (WMS) transactions using approved handheld technology.
- Operate forklifts and/or walkrider equipment as required and maintain all necessary certifications to safely operate such equipment.
- Build load and unload delivery trucks in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure proper stock rotation is maintained in the warehouse and on delivery vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness organization and overall appearance of the facility and assigned work areas.
- Prepare damaged product for repack in accordance with company policy.
- Perform routine care and general maintenance of equipment to support safe operation.
- Participate in required training and continuing education programs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the companys product portfolio including brands packages styles and categories.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience with material delivery or distribution.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with other employees.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service in all aspects of the job.
- Knowledge of company objectives.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Understands the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and is always willing to assist others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills in all applicable programs.
- Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking bending reaching standing squatting and stooping.
- Must be able to frequently lift lower push carry or pull up to 48 pounds.
- Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift pallet jacks and battery change stations.
- Work may involve repetitive motions working at varying heights and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions.
- Extended hours overtime weekends and peakseason schedules may be required.
