The warehouse technician position is part of our logistics team to safely and efficiently receive parts and equipment into the warehouse package equipment for shipment from small cardboard boxes to building wooden pallets and work closely with all team members at PJi.

Job Responsibilities
Drives a culture of Do It Safe Do It Right the First Time with actions and words on a daily basis.
  • Safely and efficiently performs assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities.
  • Receives incoming shipments verifies quantities and inspects products for visible damage.
  • Communicates receiving discrepancies damaged products or shipment issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Packages products and equipment for shipment ranging from small cardboard boxes to palletized freight.
  • Builds pallets and crates to safely transport equipment and materials to customers.
  • Labels stages and organizes incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure products are processed accurately.
  • Works closely with Logistics Sales Customer Experience Inventory and other PJi team members regarding shipment and receipt of products.
  • Assists with maintaining accurate inventory records by properly labeling products placing items in assigned locations and supporting physical counts as needed.
  • Organizes and maintains warehouse shipping and receiving areas for safe and efficient access and retrieval.
  • Assists with return merchandise authorizations (RMA) including receiving returned products and communicating visible damage or discrepancies.
  • Operates warehouse equipment hand tools and company equipment as needed and only when properly trained.
  • Uses carrier systems including UPS FedEx or other shipping platforms to process shipments as assigned.
  • Follows company procedures for domestic international oversized and special-handling shipments.
  • Assists with hazardous material or regulated shipments only under the direction of trained and authorized personnel.
  • Successfully conducts and completes all assigned training.
  • Follow proper safety spill cleanup and emergency procedures as instructed.
  • Performs other warehouse shipping receiving and logistics duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Logistics Qualifications and Skills
Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures in a time-constrained environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail when receiving packaging labeling and staging products.
  • Ability to safely handle packages equipment tools and warehouse materials.
  • Willingness to learn company shipping receiving inventory and safety processes.


Education Knowledge and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in shipping receiving warehouse operations package handling inventory or logistics preferred.
  • Experience receiving incoming shipments verifying quantities and checking for visible damage preferred.
  • Experience packaging products for shipment using boxes packing materials pallets or crates preferred.
  • Experience using basic hand tools to build pallets or safely package equipment preferred.
  • Experience processing shipments using UPS FedEx or similar carrier software preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to use email shipping systems and basic Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified if required.
  • Experience with international oversized hazardous material or special-handling shipments is helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of DOT IATA IMDG AES ISF or customs documentation is preferred but not required.
