Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of freight handling ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders managing operational processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
Assign tasks provide guidance andmonitorperformance to ensure efficient operations.
Coordinate the loading unloading and handling of freight shipments.
Ensure proper documentation labeling and packaging of goods in compliance with regulations.
Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed tooptimizeefficiency.
Liaise with customers carriers and other stakeholders to coordinate freight movements and address inquiries or issues.
Ensuretimelycommunication and resolution of customer concerns.
Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of freight handling processes.
Conduct regular inspections and audits tomaintainhigh standardsof service quality.
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
Conduct safety training and provide guidance on proper handling techniques.
Oversee inventory control processes including stock management cycle counts and reconciliation.
Maintainaccurateinventory records and ensure compliance with inventory management policies.
Prepare operational reports including performance metrics inventory levels and incident reports.
Maintainaccuratedocumentation of freight movements including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
Educational background / Work experience
Bachelors degree inlogistics supply chain management business administration ora relatedfield. Relevant certifications or training in freight operations management areadvantageous.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight operations orlogisticsroles withdemonstratedexperience in supervisory or leadership positions.

Preferred Qualifications
Certification inlogisticsor supply chain management (e.g. CLTD CSCP).

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
Language skills
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS)
