• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $70000 - $75000 per year based on experience
• Schedule: shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am- 4:30pm (24/7 safety responsibilities)
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish)

The Warehouse Safety & Training Manager is responsible forthe planning andexecutionof training at their will report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager to train new hires and keep existing employees current on required training.

Essential Functions

• Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals byadministering onthe job training andpoweredindustrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including crosstrainingas needed. Update andmaintainvarious existing training documents and helpcreate new training documents for various departments and job functions. Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables. Coordinate withtheGroup Manager Logistics forappropriate staffinglevels
• Direct staff in the development analysisand performance of jobtasks. Supervise staffin accordance withcompany policies and resolvingcomplex orout-of-policyoperation problems. Conduct interviews hirenew staffand provide employee orientation. Coach andprovidecareer development advice to staff. Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations employee training employee vacations employee breaks overtime assignmentsandback-up for absent employees.
• Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process.
• Responsiblefor coordinatingsafety activities for the site by working withtheSafety Manager to ensure safety training is currentincluding OSHA and forklift training.

Additional Responsibilities

• Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis
• Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
• Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Strong verbal and written communication skillsRequired
• Ability to create andmaintainprofessional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers work groups customers supervisors).Required

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GEDRequired
• Bachelors degree in business Logistics SupplyChain Preferred
• 1 year or more in driving various PIT equipmentRequired
• 3 years or more in relevant experience in supply chainlogistics warehouse orindustry-relatedfield Preferred
• 1 year or more in Training / Leadership background Preferred
• User-levelknowledge of Windows and MS Office IntermediateRequired
