Job Overview:

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving and processing incoming shipments ensuring accuracy inspecting for damage and recording inventory. This role supports organized storage and maintains accurate inventory within the warehouse.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments from delivery trucks
  • Safely unload pallets and package
  • Check shipments against paperwork
  • Inspect goods for damage defects or missing items
  • Verify quantities and product accuracy
  • Record temperatures and ensure proper handling for perishable items
  • Enter shipment data into a Warehouse Management System
  • Use company technology scanners or tablets to track inventory in real time
  • Label products and organize them for storage
  • Move items to correct warehouse locations (bins racks overstock areas)
  • Keep receiving area clean and organized

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work long shifts.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Basic computer and inventory system skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
