Role Summary
The Warehouse Logistics Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all material equipment and components needed for data center operations are received stored tracked and delivered accurately safely and on schedule. Youll be embedded in a high-security high-uptime environment supporting both day-to-day logistics and strategic asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments: inspect verify contents vs. purchase orders or packing slips note discrepancies or damage and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues
- Unload and stage deliveries safely using appropriate material handling equipment (forklifts pallet jacks carts)
- Store classify and tag equipment spare parts materials and consumables in the warehouse or storage areas
- Pick stage and prepare outgoing shipments or transfers to internal teams (facilities network power etc.)
- Maintain accurate inventory records (cycle counts reconciliations adjustments) in warehouse / inventory management and ERP systems
- Collaborate with procurement facilities and engineering teams to forecast needs and maintain parts and supplies availability
- Monitor stock levels and trigger reorders or restocking to maintain defined par levels
- Ensure all material handing and storage practices comply with safety data center security and regulatory requirements
- Maintain cleanliness organization and order in warehouse staging and loading dock areas
- Assist with logistics process improvements cost reduction and workflow optimization
- Support internal moves of heavy / sensitive equipment (racks UPS modules batteries etc.) while coordinating with appropriate teams
- Participate in safety audits training and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 12 years of hands-on warehouse logistics or supply chain experience
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (with certification or willingness to become certified)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer literacy: experience with spreadsheets (Excel) and inventory/ERP/WMS systems
- Ability to lift carry and maneuver heavy loads (e.g. up to 50 lbs or per facility policy)
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to work in a secure environment with adherence to security policies and protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment prioritize tasks adapt to changes
Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Prior experience in data center telecom or high-technology environments
- Experience with IT infrastructure equipment (servers racks network gear power equipment)
- Familiarity with asset tagging barcoding RFID or similar tracking systems
- Experience with cycle counting inventory reconciliation lean / 5S / process improvement
- Forklift / high-reach / scissor lift certifications
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in warehousing
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- Full on-site role (no remote)
- Frequent walking standing bending lifting and physical handling of materials
- Potential exposure to raised floors cable trays server racks overhead spaces
- Possible work in varying temperature zones (storage dock raised floor)
- Must comply with data center access security and safety protocols
- May require occasional overtime weekend or off-hour work to support critical deployments
