Warehouse Lead 2nd Shift

The Warehouse Lead provides support to the Sr. Manager of Warehouse by overseeing the receiving storage and distribution of food inventory in addition to quality control to ensure efficient operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously

Must be customer-centric able to work collaborately with a team and cross-functionally

Self-directed able to establish priorities and problem solve

Intermediate level of operational knowledge with Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Outlook Excel and AGI

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and manufacturing or food product warehousing processes a plus

Working knowledge of CERES & Navision a plus

Experience:

2 years in warehouse distribution or operations preferably in a team lead role

Experience operating an electric pallet jack and reach forklift

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support order fulfillment and distribution process to include stock replenishment order selection packing and staging

Oversee receiving functions to ensure unloading efficiency and accuracy and that all product is properly received and put away daily

Supports outbound truck loading per specified routes and delivery schedules as assigned

Provide daily leadership and assign tasks to the team

Supervises cleanliness orderliness and safety of facility following appropriate NTFB food safety and personnel safety policies and practices

Provide inventory support functions as identified by management

Occasionally performs receiving functions as part of a warehouse team to ensure unloading efficiency accuracy and that all product is received properly and stored

Provide support to agency pickup activity as necessary

Ensure checklist is completed daily before use of material handling equipment

Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for visitors volunteers and customer traffic; secure facilities at close of day

Complete any necessary equipment trainings as mandated

Perform management duties in the absence of the Warehouse Manager

Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training

Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

MENTAL DEMANDS:

The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as complaints maintaining the security of people and property competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the unit.

Must be able to gather and classify information for the purposes of notifying offices impacted

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; repetitive motion; reach with hands and arms; bending; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to successfully operate gas and electric-powered forklift trucks as well as manual pallet jacks and other warehouse support equipment following completion of mandated training.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Moderate to loud noise (e.g. business office with open floor plan with computers phone and printers and medium to heavy traffic in the warehouse with forklifts and pallet jacks)

This person should have the ability to work in varying internal (hot and cold) temperature levels in the warehouse which includes cooler and freezer areas.

Second shift schedule (Monday - Friday 2:00pm 10:30pm) with flexibility based on business demands

Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
