Summary of Duties:
The Materials Management Clerk is responsible for daily receiving expensing stocking and distribution activities that support the flow of goods and materials throughout the hospital and affiliated clinics. This role ensures accurate replenishment of departmental inventory levels timely movement of supplies and proper documentation of materials-related transactions. The clerk works collaboratively with the Materials Management team to maintain organized stock areas support inventory control processes and uphold high standards of service to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:
1. Accurately pick and expense items to designated locations within the facility
2. Efficiently stage and deliver materials to internal departments and affiliated external sites.
3. Verify and receive incoming items ensuring accuracy in quantity condition and documentation.
4. Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks forklifts and a box truck for transporting materials
5. Participate in cycle counting daily audits and other inventory management activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
6. Safely lift move and handle parcels of various sizes using proper manual lifting techniques.
7. Assist in maintaining departmental document files and records in coordination with other team members.
8. Maintain cleanliness organization and safety within all storage areas ensuring materials are properly labeled accessible and compliant with hospital and regulatory standards.
9. Demonstrate professionalism and effective communication in interactions with team members hospital staff vendors and visitors.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational needs

Skills Abilities:
1. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers vendors and clinical staff.
2. Ability to learn and navigate inventory management software and technology tools used for receiving expensing and tracking materials.
3. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to inventory and receiving
4. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
5. Effective oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:
1. Exposure to distressed patients families or visitors while performing deliveries or interacting in clinical areas.
2. Exposure to outside environmental conditions when loading unloading or transporting materials. Temperatures in the work area are subject to seasonal changes including hot or cold conditions in the warehouse and unloading area.
3. Work may involve entering clinical areas where infectioncontrol precautions are required including the use of PPE.
4. Frequent exposure to noise from equipment delivery vehicles and warehouse operations.

Physical Demands:
1. Requires standing sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per workday.
2. Ability to lift carry push or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
3. Ability to climb ladders to access high shelving or storage locations.
4. Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles including stepping up into a box truck.
5. Ability to maneuver carts pallet jacks and other materialhandling equipment safely.

Qualifications:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Valid drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 2 years of experience
2. Experience with hospital supply chain processes.
