Description

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through accurate data entry inventory

transactions shipping and receiving documentation and administrative support. The Warehouse Clerk works closely with

Warehouse Operations Inventory Control Customer Service and Transportation to ensure efficient warehouse operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Process shipping receiving inventory and transfer transactions accurately within the Warehouse Management

System (WMS SAGE 100).

Update shipments in Customer Supported Portals such as SAP Red Prairie and Manhattan

Verify inbound and outbound documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Create and maintain shipping documents bills of lading (BOLs) packing lists and other warehouse records.

Coordinate appointments with carriers and transportation providers.

Communicate with customers carriers drivers and internal departments regarding shipment status and inventory

issues.

Assist with inventory counts cycle counts and inventory audits.

Research and resolve inventory receiving and shipping discrepancies.

Maintain accurate filing and electronic documentation.

Monitor warehouse appointment email and respond to customer/carrier inquiries in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with company policies customer requirements and safety procedures.

Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Must be available to work overtime weekends or holidays as business needs require.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse clerical or administrative experience preferred.

Experience in a warehouse distribution center or third-party logistics (3PL) environment preferred.

Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (SAGE 100 Scan Force SAP) and Microsoft Office including Excel.

Strong data entry and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit stand and walk throughout the workday.

Occasionally work within the warehouse to verify inventory or shipments.
