Job Summary
American Leak Detection is looking for a dependable hands-on Warehouse & Equipment Assembly Associate to join our team in Carrollton Texas.
This is a unique position that combines warehouse operations mechanical assembly inventory control shipping and receiving purchasing and computer/data entry.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with their hands has good mechanical ability is comfortable using tools and equipment and is also capable of working with computers and inventory/order systems.
Our warehouse supports the equipment and products used by American Leak Detection technicians in the field. The position will be involved in building and preparing products and assemblies such as hoses Test Balls LeakVue equipment AquaSnoop equipment and other specialized leak-detection equipment and assemblies.
Mechanical Assembly
- Build and assemble equipment and components used in the field.
- Assemble hoses Test Balls LeakVues AquaSnoop equipment and other products.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools.
- Follow assembly instructions and procedures.
- Test completed assemblies and identify problems.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Ensure equipment is properly assembled tested labeled and ready for field use.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products.
- Pick pack and prepare orders for shipment.
- Ship equipment and materials to American Leak Detection locations and field personnel.
- Organize warehouse materials and maintain an orderly work area.
- Track parts and components used in equipment builds.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory.
- Assist with ordering and replenishing inventory.
Computer & Inventory Responsibilities
- Enter purchase orders and purchasing information.
- Process receiving and shipping information.
- Enter and maintain inventory data.
- Assist with ordering materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Post completed build assemblies in the companys computer system.
- Track materials and components used in completed assemblies.
- Learn and use company software and computer systems.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous warehouse manufacturing assembly or similar work experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work comfortably with tools.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
- Good organizational and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A dependable and responsible work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift move and handle warehouse materials and equipment.
