Warehouse Assistant (Non OHSU Student Worker)

Job Summary
- Maintains a clean safe and efficient working environment.
- Administrative: Provides excellent customer service to OHSU hospital departments by answeringphone calls and emails to assist with placing orders for daily supply needs and other assistance that may be needed.
- Shelves: Ensures shelves are undamaged clean neat and properly marked with product information. Helps ensure signage is present and up to date.
- Housekeeping: Ensures the warehouse is clean inventory is packaged and labeled properly and non-stock products are neatly arranged. Ensures pallets carts racks are in good working order.
- Performs functions as necessary to ensure required daily tasks are completed on time and sufficiently to meet the customers needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure day-to-day efficient operation of the Logistics Department supply chain.
- Maintains knowledge of adheres to and knows the locations for departmental policy procedure safety and MSDS manuals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwiseregistered in:
- Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours) OR
- Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours).
- Must be able to read and writeEnglish and have basicmathematical skills.
- Conflict resolution skills andthe ability to demonstrateeffective time management.
- Must be able to perform theessential functions of the position with or withoutaccommodation.
- Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experienceare preferred.
- Experience performing stores and inventory work.
- Training or experienceproviding knowledge ofinventory control systems andtransportation agencies andshipping methods.
- Experience Training orexperience providingknowledge of inventorycontrol systems.
- Working knowledge ofhospital materials managementdistribution systems.
- Medicalsupply familiarity knowledgeof OHSU systems and medicalterminology are preferred.
Warehouse and office environment. This position is on-site and not a remote position.
