- Plan and implement Floridas Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) curriculum in alignment with state standards
- Create a safe engaging and nurturing classroom environment for preschool-aged children
- Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social emotional cognitive and physical development
- Observe document and track student progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities
- Maintain a clean organized and developmentally appropriate learning space
- Collaborate with lead teachers and center staff to support overall classroom and center goals
- Florida VPK certification or Child Care Staff Credential required
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood education (ages 3-5) preferred
- Knowledge of Florida VPK program standards and early childhood best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children parents and staff
- Warm patient and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening as required by Florida DCF
- AA or degree in Early Childhood Education a plus
