The VP Treasury Relationship Manager is responsible for driving commercial deposit growth and treasury management revenue by developing new client relationships within assigned industry verticals and target markets. This role serves as a trusted advisor to middle market and commercial clients delivering customized treasury management solutions that help businesses optimize cash flow improve operational efficiency and manage risk.The successful candidate will originate and grow new commercial banking relationships through proactive business development strategic networking and consultative sales efforts. Working closely with relationship managers lending teams and other internal partners the VP Treasury Relationship Manager will identify opportunities to expand client relationships increase deposit balances and deliver treasury management products and services that support client objectives while achieving the Banks growth and profitability goals. This position requires a self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a results-oriented environment and can independently manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through implementation and ongoing relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales execution for the Commercial Bank and other industry verticals. Ensure the bank effectively meets customer needs achieves sales and revenue targets for the business segment and executes sales plans and promotions
- Execute efforts of the assigned market to accelerate profitable growth in TM Product Sales and Deposit Balances
- Oversee the treasury management sales process from initial consultation and sale through post-implementation follow-up to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction
- Partner with Lending Relationship Managers and Sales Management in the development and direct sale of depository and treasury management products and services to new and existing relationships
- Evaluate cash-flow working capital and operational needs of clients and prospects to provide consultative recommendations on improving their business processes using Axos Banks suite of TM products and services
- Analyze prospects banking activity and prepare comprehensive pricing proposals. Prepare and perform ongoing/periodic relationship reviews
- Collaborate with management to develop a marketing strategy establish sales objectives and deploy new services & enhancements while focusing on the needs of top tier clients
- Actively cross-sells appropriate banking solutions to new and existing clients. Actively manages portfolio for growth risk mitigation referral opportunity and retention
- Sales activity: direct calling networking activities outbound phone calls e-mail trade conferences appropriate social media marketing
- Proactively partners with lending teams to bid and win new operating relationships with middle market companies ($10 million plus in annual revenues)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting Economics or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 5 years of successful treasury management commercial banking business development cash management or relationship management experience preferably serving middle market and commercial clients
- Proven track record of generating new commercial deposits treasury management revenue and client relationships through direct sales and business development efforts
- Strong knowledge of treasury management products and services including ACH wires positive pay lockbox remote deposit capture merchant services fraud prevention and online banking solutions
- Experience analyzing client cash flow liquidity needs operating accounts and working capital requirements to deliver consultative treasury solutions
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with business owners CFOs controllers and other key decision-makers
- Strong sales negotiation presentation and consultative relationship management skills
- Ability to prepare pricing analyses treasury proposals and business cases while balancing profitability and client needs
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage a high-volume sales pipeline
- Proficient with CRM systems Microsoft Office Suite and treasury management sales and portfolio management tools
- Ability to travel within assigned markets to meet clients prospects centers of influence and industry partners
