VP Security Engineering – SaaS

Role Overview:

The VP Security Engineering leads the design and execution of security architecture across cloud infrastructure engineering environments and development pipelines. The role focuses on embedding security directly into product engineering processes and building scalable security engineering capabilities within highgrowth SaaS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and scale the security engineering organisation

Implement DevSecOps practices across engineering teams

Design secure cloud architectures across AWS Azure or GCP

Lead application and product security programs

Manage vulnerability management programs

Implement automated security testing and code scanning

Conduct threat modelling and architecture reviews

Partner with engineering leaders to embed security in development

Required Experience:

10 years cybersecurity or security engineering experience

5 years leadership experience

Experience working within SaaS or cloudnative companies

Education Required:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Engineering or related field

Certifications Preferred:

CISSP CISM CCSP or equivalent

Compensation Guidance (US):

$220000 $330000 base salary bonus equity
