Summary:

The VP Accounting leads all accounting operations financial reporting and investment accounting for the organization partnering closely with the CFO treasury and investment teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial accounting functions including operational and investment accounting and all month-end close activities.
• Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting to the board management regulators and stakeholders.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial accounting policies; manage preparation for audits and regulatory examinations.
• Partner with the CFO on financial planning forecasting and complex financial analysis (e.g. cash flow modeling).
• Direct the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team including hiring training and performance management.
• Support treasury and investment management functions including cash positioning and investment accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field (Masters a plus).
• 4-10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance-based functions.
• Experience in financial services strongly preferred.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Advanced Excel and financial/accounting software skills.
• Strong analytical communication and leadership abilities.
