The Digital Assets team is part of Franklins Global Insurance & Institutional Asset Solutions business group. Our 40 person Franklin Templeton Digital Assets team has been active in the digital assets ecosystem since 2018. The VP of Business Development Crypto will drive sales growth by leveraging their extensive network and proven success selling to hedge funds market makers institutional allocators and quantitative funds within both digital asset and traditional finance communities. This role requires deep expertise in digital assets and derivatives with a strong focus on expanding client adoption and building high-value relationships. It is central to advancing FTs leadership in digital asset innovation with a strong focus on market expansion.
Sales Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy focused on launching new ETFs and increasing the size of the current five ETFs offered by Franklin Templeton.
Support the development and execution on opportunities for Franklin Crypto platform.
Own the full sales cycle from identifying and qualifying prospects to pitching negotiating and closing deals. Act as the advocate and primary point of contact for prospects and clients throughout the lifecycle.
Identify prospect and convert high-value prospects to clients. Proactively grow adoption of models and products on the platform with existing clients.
Help expand reach and presence of the digital asset product lineup across various market segments.
Deliver impactful client presentations and product demonstrations tailored to target clients. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
Set meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Conduct regular client meetings product demos and tailored presentations to drive adoption.
Serve as the point of contact for negotiating commercial terms contracts and onboarding processes with new clients.
Market Presence & Promotion
Maintain a strong awareness of client needs competitive landscape and industry developments related to digital assets to proactively seek out opportunities.
Represent the firm at leading industry events conferences and networking forums to increase visibility and drive lead generation.
Host and participate in industry roundtables panel discussions and client events to expand the sales funnel and increase conversion rates.
Secure and deliver high-profile speaking engagements to position the company as a thought leader in digital asset liquidity and collateral management.
Collaborate with marketing to develop tailored sales content promotional campaigns and educational materials that support the sales cycle.
Partner closely with Client Servicing and Support teams to ensure prospects and clients receive a high-quality experience throughout the onboarding and servicing process.
Travel
Frequent yet judicious travel to meet with clients prospects and attend industry conferences throughout the region.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services with a strong background in digital assets hedge funds trading operations and collateral management.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Relevant regulatory licensing in market (e.g. FINRA Series 7).
Demonstrated success in selling ETFs.
Experience in product development and launching new investment products.
Established network and credibility across both digital asset and traditional finance trading communities.
Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills with experience on conference panels and at industry events.
Skilled in relationship building and stakeholder engagement at the senior level.
Proficient with sales enablement tools including CRM.
Energetic proactive and solutions-focused with a Yes mindset.

We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $219000 - $257000 depending on location and level of relevant experience plus discretionary bonus.
