Job Summary

The Volunteer Program Supervisor provides leadership oversight and strategic direction for Regional Wests volunteer this role youll develop coordinate and sustain a robust volunteer program that enhances patient care supports hospital operations and strengthens connections with the community. The Volunteer Program Supervisor serves as a key liaison between hospital leadership volunteers and community partners while ensuring a positive and engaging volunteer experience.

A Day in the Life of

As the Volunteer Program Supervisor youll oversee all aspects of the volunteer program including recruitment screening placement orientation training and ongoing engagement of volunteers throughout the organization. Youll collaborate with department leaders to identify volunteer opportunities that support patient care and operational needs while ensuring volunteers are well-prepared and successful in their roles.

Youll work closely with Human Resources to coordinate onboarding requirements maintain volunteer records schedules credentials and compliance documentation. Additionally youll develop and implement recognition programs that celebrate volunteer contributions and foster long-term engagement and retention.

In this role youll build strong relationships with community organizations schools civic groups and hospital leadership to promote volunteerism and support patient experience initiatives. Youll also develop policies and procedures participate in organizational committees and contribute to strategic planning efforts that advance the mission of Regional West.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Nonprofit Management Hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in volunteer coordination nonprofit leadership or healthcare administration required.
  • Strong leadership organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders staff volunteers and community partners.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
