Job Summary

Following the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the athletic department the Volunteer coach will direct serve and coordinate the Blake School Athletics program.


The Blake Athletics Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference which is part of the Minnesota State High School League.


Job Duties:

Assist with planning and coordinating all schedules and practice

  • Player development
  • Assist in selection of assistant coaches
  • Assist in aspects of the lacrosse program.
  • Provide on and off the field training opportunities that include instruction management and teaching of all student/athletes
  • Communicating to players and parents
  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director



Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Strong knowledge of the fundamental of specific sports like soccer baseball lacrosse tennis basketball volleyball etc.
  • Experience coaching with demonstrated success at the high school level
  • Passion for working with the high school athlete
  • Ability to balance team building with individual skill building
  • Integrity and fairness
