Our purpose is to inspire people to learn from American traditions to help shape a better future. As a volunteer of The Henry Ford you have the opportunity of helping to carry out this purpose to over one million guests addition to providing opportunities for self-development volunteering allows us to contribute to our communities positively. We invite you to join us in teaching others to learn from tradition and make a difference in the world.

For those who enjoy the outdoors we have many opportunities volunteering in Greenfield Village such as the carousel Martha Mary Chapel Edison Illuminating Tin Type Studio greeting guests and assisting the camp counselors. If you prefer working indoors we have many opportunities volunteering inside The Henry Ford Museum of Innovation including but not limited to assisting with hands-on activities greeting guests preparing crafts volunteering at the Overland Touring Car Combine and much addition to assisting with the day-to-day activities at The Henry Ford volunteers also have the opportunity to help during exclusive Henry Ford special event weekends.
