Job Title:Supported Employment Services Direct Support ProfessionalLocation: Hopkins MN and other areas across the Twin Cities Metro areaSchedule: Tuesday & Thursday 6:30 am - 4 pmWage: $20 hourly including company benefitsJob Summary:As a Supported Employment Services Direct Support Professional you will assist individuals with autism intellectual disabilities interfering behaviors and/or medical complexities at their jobs within the community. Staff may be working 1:1 with a person or within a group based on the job site in the Job Duties:Personal cares including bathroom supports and medication administrationAccompanying individuals into the community to participate in a variety of activitiesFacilitating personal choice and promoting self-advocacyHelping others understand the individuals capabilitiesFollowing specific behavior plans and program goalsWorking to improve the quality of life for those we serveRequired Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldProficiency in spoken and written English languageComfortable with personal cares for males and femalesMust be comfortable driving large passenger vehicleHave a vehicle with current car insuranceHave an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services a Wi-Fi-enabled device for work related purposesSuccessful clearance from a DHS Background StudyPreferred Experience:Experience supporting individuals with autism intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnosisExperience working with individuals with verbal and physical aggressions
