Vocal & Glee Instructor

Headliner Music Academy a music school serving students of all ages is currently seeking a Vocal and Glee Instructor to join our team as a part-time employee. This instructor will provide private voice lessons and lead engaging group vocal and performance classes.

Music teachers at Headliner use our curriculum to provide students with an inspiring well-balanced music education. By teaching theory and technique through music students know and love our instructors develop confident musicians who enjoy performing recording in our studio and even composing original music.

• Teach private and semi-private vocal lessons to students of different ages and skill levels
• Lead glee group singing and vocal performance classes
• Teach healthy vocal technique breathing pitch harmony stage presence and performance skills
• Select age-appropriate engaging repertoire
• Prepare students and vocal groups for showcases and other performances
• Create an encouraging fun and focused learning environment
• Assess students readiness to join a band ensemble or performance group
• Collaborate with other instructors and assist with school events as needed

• Strong vocal technique and a thorough understanding of music theory
• Ability to communicate vocal and musical concepts clearly and effectively
• Experience teaching voice choir glee show choir or vocal ensembles
• Experience working with children teens and/or beginning musicians
• Experience performing as a solo vocalist or as part of a group
• Effective time-management and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Ability to interact professionally and positively with children and adults
• Ability to pass a background check

• Ability to teach an additional instrument such as piano guitar drums or violin
• Experience directing vocal ensembles choirs musical theater or performance groups
• Experience preparing students for live performances

Headliner Music Academy offers a flexible part-time schedule in a fun supportive environment alongside other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing scheduling booking billing and other administrative aspects of private lessons and group classes so that our instructors can focus on teaching and inspiring students.

Hourly pay is based on education experience expertise and availability.
