Basic Job Functions:
- Design of steel structures and products while continuing to enhance capabilities products processes and teammate development
- Provide direction and technical support to detailers shop orders and production teammates during project development design and fabrication
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external design professionals and customers
- Become an engineering expert of Vulcrafts products and assist specifiers and industry partners
This position is a salaried position plus ROA bonus. Occasional travel is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited program
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification with desire ability and dedication to obtain a PE license
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE license and/or SE license
- MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Leadership experience or desire to take on leadership roles and/or positions
- Willing to pursue higher leadership opportunities throughout Nucor
