Visiting Scientist Price Lab

A Visiting Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Alexander Price at The Wistar Institute. The Price lab investigates cellular RNA processing events hijacked by tumor-causing viruses. Example research projects include investigating how viruses regulate expression of their own genes temporally and spatially within an infected cell and ways in which viruses evade detection by the cellular innate immune should have a Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) with a preference for having at least one first author peer-reviewed publication.A strong background in molecular biology techniques is with either RNA sequencing third generation long-read sequencing technologies (Oxford Nanopore) confocal microscopy or previous experience utilizing human viruses would be highly desired.
