Visiting Scholar (Lee, Myeongjin)

The Division of Neuropharmacology and Neurologic Diseases (NND) within the Emory National Biomedical Research Center (ENBRC) at Emory University in Atlanta GA is currently seeking a Visiting Scholar to join the laboratory of Dr. Phil Zhe Sun on a temporary basis.

The ideal candidate should be motivated dependable detail-oriented and have a positive attitude and passion for research. The Visiting Scholar will be a team player who is willing to learn on the job and collaborate with lab members and center members. The Visiting Scholar will work to ensure the highest quality of laboratory research support and have good communication skills with co-workers the management team PIs research staff students and other support services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in research focused on developing advanced AI-based reconstruction methods for Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST) MRI.
• Leverage a background in deep learning self-supervised learning and physics-informed image reconstruction to develop accelerated and quantitative CEST MRI reconstruction techniques.
• Contribute to algorithm development implementation and validation of AI-based reconstruction methods for CEST MRI.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong foundation in artificial intelligence and image processing.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Work environment involves working with biohazardous blood and tissues
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions
• Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory environment
• Requires the ability to bend kneel and/or squat
