Job Summary
A Visiting Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended for individuals externally funded by their home institution university or scholarship fund to visit Mayo Clinic for a postdoctoral scholarly training experience. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications. Upon background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval Visiting Research Fellow may have patient/research subject contact directly relating to and incidental to the original research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars Research Scholars Professors Specialists and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D. M.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere. Please attach the following required documents at the time of application: Current curriculum vitae and bibliography proof of doctoral degree (copy of diploma or final transcript with English translation if applicable) or letter from your universitys Registrar office indicating you have fulfilled all doctoral program requirements and are eligible to graduate. Proof of external/direct funding from home institution university or scholarship fund for cost of living requirements of $29000.00 USD per year or $2417.00 USD per month during appointment period.
