Job Summary

The Theatre Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning July 1 2027. We seek candidates to teach global performance history and theory introduction to theatre directing and/or playwrighting and related courses in performance theory history and practice. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations while contributing to a vibrant learning community that values academic freedom creativity and intellectual curiosity. The goal of the Hamilton College Theatre Department is to teach students to think and express themselves creatively while at the same time learning discipline time management and solid group-building and leadership skills. The expected 9-month base salary range for this position is $79950 to $82450.
