The Oklahoma State University Department of Computer Science invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science. We seek candidates with teaching interests in game development game design and GPU pipeline programming supported by a strong record of teaching and curriculum development across core Computer Science domains. The position begins August 15 2026.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will contribute to the departments educational research and outreach mission. Specific expectations include:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in game development game design GPU pipeline programming and core CS areas.
- Developing new courses and contributing to curriculum growth in both online and in-person formats.
- Supporting OSUs land-grant mission through excellence in teaching and community outreach.
- Contributing to the departments online certificate and degree programs.
- Developing an introductory online high school concurrent computer science course as part of the Cowboy Concurrent Academy.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively mentor students and collaborate with colleagues.
