Job Summary
ONE-YEAR VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ANCIENT MEDITERRANEAN HISTORY. The Department of History at The University of Memphis invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Ancient Mediterranean History a non-tenure track position with a term of one academic year (2026-2027) beginning August 17 2026 through May 15 2027

For more information about the Department of History see: teaching load is three courses per semester. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate World History surveys as well as upper-division undergraduate courses in Greek and Roman history in both the classroom and online formats. No service is required during the term of the appointment.
